We're Going Camping! Our Camping List

We're gearing up to go on our first ever camping trip as a family and I'm putting together our camping essentials packing list!

Michael and I have never taken the kids to go camping, let alone us go camping as a couple! So we decided to take the plunge and GO CAMPING!

So I thought I would sit down and make a list of everything we need to buy/pack for
our camping trip!

We are tent camping so we're going to need quite a bit more than what we would going camping in an RV, and we want to be prepared.

  1. That's a pretty good list! I think you'll be well covered. :) And if you forgot anything you'll be close to a store. You always learn after your first trip what you'll need and not need. One thing we found helpful when tent camping is to pack things in those rubbermaid totes. Makes it harder for critters to get in, protects your stuff in case of rain, and is just easier to pack and stuff. And you can put them outside your tent if you need more space inside.

  3. Extra shoes, yes! This is a great camping packing list, I also like the idea of a small outdoor rug.
