Our 1st Time Wheeling - Bridgeport, TX

This past Saturday we went wheeling in the XJ for the first time as a family, needless to say we are itching to go wheeling again!

Discount Tire & BF Goodrich hosted an event on Saturday and Sunday out at Northwest OHV Park in Bridgeport, TX.

A few of our other Jeep friends were going to be out there so we knew we had to go. We met up with several other local Jeepers at a gas station. We gassed up, waited on a few others to show up, and then we were Bridgeport bound.

I didn't take very many pictures during this wheeling trip because I was trying to get video footage for our YouTube channel. But thanks to our good friends at Hall Around Texas they provided us with some! So thankful for them!!

After the "long" drive with no a/c and windows down, WE MADE IT!!

It was definitely a hot day but we were staying well hydrated.

This was quite the experience. I was so nervous all the way there. I've seen horrible pictures from wheeling accidents, so that will always be in the back of my mind. But we had amazing people to spot us, and keep us comfortable.

We headed out to our first easy trail with all the Jeeps that are pictured above. Just because some of us have never wheeled before, we wanted to start out easy.

Once we finished that trail we headed to the parking spot for us to all get out and walk up to where they had vendors, food, and drinks. Surprisingly, they had volunteers with their Jeeps shuttling people up the hill, which was AWESOME of them!

They had quite a few vendors so we walked around for a bit looking at everything. By the time we finished walking around it was well after lunch time. We brought sandwich stuff, chips, and snacks.

We caught a shuttle Jeep back down the hill grabbed some stuff to eat and had a picnic at the Jeep.

We had about 30 minutes before the drawing for some prizes started, so we thought it was a good idea to go get back in line for the shuttle.

A few of our friends won BFG tires and Michael even won the skid plate for his Jeep that he was eyeing!!

After the drawing, a lot of our group left. We wanted to go wheeling a little more so Rylan and Kyleigh loaded up in the Hall's Jeep, Rooster, and Michael and I got in the Cherokee.

We were trail bound, and we were leading.
There was definitely some sketchy spots in some of the trails. At one point we had to go thru a pretty big mud hole and on the passenger side of the Jeep, there was a HUGE drop off. I was slightly freaking out at that!

All in all, it was a great time! We left the park around 5pm I believe and headed to McDonald's to grab some early dinner with our friends.

We got our bellies full and were home bound. We were wore out, sun burnt, and filthy!

Michael is already talking about wanting to go wheeling again, so I definitely think we will be going again in the next several weeks.

In the mean time, here's some pictures from our wheeling trip from this last Saturday.

Don't forget to check out our YouTube video from this Wheeling trip as well!
