4th of July Parade with Ellis County Jeeps

This is the 2nd year in a row that I've had to work the night shift on the 4th of July. I wasn't going to let that stop me though!
We were going to join Ellis County Jeeps in a local 4th of July parade, and I was so excited!

A local Jeep club, Ellis County Jeeps participates in multiple holiday parades throughout the year and I didn't want to miss this one.
This was actually our first time to participate in a parade and our first time getting together with the club.

I ended up having to work July 3rd and 4th night shift. This meant that as soon as I got off work at 7am I had to meet Kyleigh and Michael and then head to our meeting spot for all of the Jeeps. We got to our meeting spot and immediately started decorating our Jeep.
One by one we had other Jeeps piling in.

The theme for this years parade was Pink Petals and Patriotism due to the 22nd Annual Crape Myrtle Festival being July 3rd and 4th.

The parade started at 10am so lineup for the parade and judging started at 9am.
I think we ended up having slightly under 40 Jeeps all together.
The whole group was the talk of the parade for sure!

It was so much fun waving at everyone and seeing all the people lined up on the sidewalks with flags in their hands and wearing red, white, and blue.
I am so glad we got to be apart of this and look forward to doing it for the upcoming holidays as well.

Oh, guess what?!
Ellis County Jeeps won 1st place in the judging!

I hope you had an amazing 4th of July!
What did y'all do to celebrate the 4th?
