Meet the Teacher Night

Well last night we met the kid’s teachers for this upcoming school year and they are so excited about starting school on Thursday now!

This year was a little different because Kyleigh wasn’tgoing to be in the same school as Rylan like she has been the past 2 years for Pre-K. They moved their Pre-K thru 1st graders over to another school building. Kyleigh was very hesitant about being in a completely different school but I kept trying to reassure her that everything will be ok. She doesn’t do well with changes!

Anyways, we had to rush off to meet Rylan’s teacher first because he had football practice right after. We piled in line and found out who his teacher was for 3rd grade this year. Rylan was actually pretty excited because his teacher, Mrs. Lawson, had her whole room decorated in sports. He met his teacher, we filled out a few papers, took a picture with his teacher (this is a yearly thing for us!), said his “see you on Thursday!”, and was off to football practice.

While Michael took Rylan to his practice, Kyleigh and I walked over to her school to meet her teacher. Which thankfully is right next door to Rylan’s school! Thank goodness for small towns, am I right?!

We stood in line for about 30 minutes, and then went through all the “checkpoints” to find out who her teacher was. To our surprise she got Mrs. Holder, who was Rylan’s Kindergarten teacher as well! We headed down the hall to Kyleigh’s new class and Mrs. Holder recognized Kyleigh immediately and asked how Rylan was doing. We organized her school supplies, filled out some papers, took our yearly photo with Mrs. Holder, said our see you soon, and we walked back to Rylan’s football practice.

I am so thankful that our school district participates inbeing able to order packages of the kids school supplies online and having it delivered right to the school! No hassle of trying to find everything in stores and making multiple trips to different stores to find everything and then lugging it all to meet the teacher. Makes life that much simpler! All we have to worry about is school clothes and shoes! Which I did all that online thisyear as well! Mommy win! Woohoo!

Aside from that, the kids are so excited about their teachers and starting school on Thursday! This year they will be riding the school bus for the first time as well, so that will be new! So many new things happening this school year, but it’s going to be a great one. I canalready tell!

Here’s to a great school year, all the mommies being strong on that first day back, and all the amazing teachers shaping our babies to the best that they can be!
