Easy Christmas Stocking Name Tags

Yesterday was full of crafting and I got quite a few projects done.
But let me tell you about these long awaited stocking name tags... I have been wanting to do these since last Christmas and I FINALLY got them done! I’m so in love with them!

This is a super easy project, I’m not sure why I waited so long to do them.

All you need is wooden tags, vinyl, a Cricut or a Silhouette machine (you could even paint them on instead but I don’t have that steady of a hand), and decorations if you want to add to the tags. I used buffalo check scrapbook paper at the bottom of the tags so I used Mod Podge and an X-acto knife as well.

I got these tags from Hobby Lobby. It was a pack of 12 wooden tags for $4.99 in the Wedding/Floral section.

You can start by cutting the names out on a sheet of vinyl. I used Oracle 651 vinyl in the color black and used the font Magnolia Sky for the names.
Once you have the names cut out you will remove all the extra vinyl and apply the vinyl name to the wooden tag.

You can either choose to leave the tag as is and be done or you can add to it.
I wanted mine to match my Christmas decor so I, of course, had to add a little buffalo check to them.

For this, all I did was cut a piece of the scrapbook paper that was slightly larger than what I needed. Once I had the piece of paper, I added Mod Podge where the buffalo check paper was going to go on the tag and then I placed the paper on top of the Mod Podge. I then turned over the tag and used my X-acto knife to trim off the excess paper from the tag. I then turned the tag back over and added another layer of Mod Podge on top of the whole buffalo check piece of paper.

You will then let it dry and there you have it, your very own adorable Christmas stocking name tags!

I hope you enjoyed this easy craft! I also have another fun Christmas DIY coming up tomorrow, so stay tuned for that!
